I think the reviews here could be a mix of different 3m screen protectors. So make sure you read carefully what you need. I had: 3M Edge-to-Edge 14" Widescreen Laptop Privacy Filter (PF140W9E) with adhesive strips. I have a 14" 16:9 aspect ratio screen for my HP Pavilion laptop and it works great. From the side as said there is nothing to see you can see if you look down but it wasn't what was advertised so i'm not deducting points the screen is darker but nothing is distorted when i use the laptop normally and look directly at it. If you want the brightness to match your screen, use gloss instead of matte. The strips are a good glue too. I like that I can take it off and put it back on. Before it got dusty, I did I've reinstalled 60+ times. When they get dusty I just rub them with my fingers under very hot water and the dust comes off instantly. The best part is the free replacement strips. AMAZING! I had to google his web address, there which didn't work on the packaging itself. When I got to the right place, they brought me a replacement with an extra cleaning cloth less than a week later. I cannot recommend 3M enough. Very good product and aftercare. ** You can also crop them. I measured and cut with a utility knife, then just bent and snapped off the side.
