As soon as I installed it I knew it wasn't going to last long. Had I known the tiny mesh handle is the only thing connecting the canopy to the ceiling hook I would not have bought it. The way the stars were attached was also inferior. But overall it looked very nice. For a few minutes. Not intended for children, that's for sure! The moment my little one approached him, with a simple pull, the entire canopy came down. It was really weird. The fabric handle is so poorly constructed that it snapped off immediately (see picture) leaving a hole in the top of the dome. I tried again to hang the lantern through the hole but it broke even more. Not even 5 minutes have passed. In a way, I'm grateful that it broke immediately. My little one moves around a lot in her sleep and a kick or tug while she's sleeping could knock her off her feet while she's sleeping. I'm giving it 2 stars because it's quite pretty and would work well as a decoration. I recommend hanging it over a guest bed that is rarely or never used. I will be returning this item as it doesn't really work on live people who are moving.
