I have used it several times. It is well made and makes a solid impression. The clamp is easy to use and holds securely. The coiled cord is just the right length and doesn't dangle or get in the way. The rocker arm rotates about a central axis that runs through the center of the device (in the same direction as the rod). It zooms very, very slowly with a slight deflection to the left or right of the seesaw. Really useful for those super slow zooms. For the fastest zoom, you have to rotate almost 90 degrees left or right, which is quite a large deviation. However, you'll never have a problem with a sudden quick zoom; You have to press the seesaw to get it. I thought the zoom was too slow when I got it, but after using it I found the zoom range to be perfect, delivering a controlled, non-juddering zoom. The red start/stop button worked well and lit up during recording, which I liked. All in all, a well-made device with very good features.
