Simplicity in what it does. He does that very well. ENLARGE, REDUCE, RECORD. The only quirk I noticed is that sometimes it gets a bit of a mess if I plug it in while the camera is on. In this case I have to turn off the camera, connect LANC and turn on the camera again. My old Canon Lanc didn't have this problem. Overall, though, this is a good product.

Often starts/stops videos with Sony FS700. This allows me to keep my hand on the joystick and use the zoom controls if we get a servo lens. It's exactly what we need, and it's easy to attach and set up (takes about 30 seconds with practice). Expensive but worth it if you frequently need to start/stop or scale from an external button.

Has stopped working no more than 20 times in 6 months of use. I happily used it on my Canon Vixia HF G40 until it stopped working. Clean, for studio use only. Disconnected, reconnected, camera on and off. All combinations of these processes. Clicked the "Pan./Lanc" button. Nothing helped. I've contacted Manfrotto but they don't seem to be responding. What a dream! I'll take pictures of the installation this week. I mount it on my monopod when the camcorder is high up. I mount this on a tripod arm. Extension cable. I have used it several times. It is well made and makes a solid impression. The clamp is easy to use and holds securely. The coiled cord is just the right length and doesn't dangle or get in the way. I LOVE THIS CONTROLLER! This makes shooting much easier. I attached it to the pan of my Manfrotto 500AH and it works great! Build quality is solid and it works as expected.
