Review on πŸ“‘ CHAOHANG: 2 x 6dBi RP-SMA Dual Band Antennas + 2 x 35cm M.2(NGFF) Cable Mod Kit – Enhance Wireless & 3G/4G Card Signals by Tyson Burch

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Large blades for extracting additional WiFi from the air.

They do their job well. I was a little hesitant as the post definitely lacks polish, but as there are only about two M.2 (NGFF) desktop antennas at Revain, I upvoted them. I connected it to Intel Wifi Wireless-AC 8265 8265.NGWMG Dual Band 2x2 AC + BlueTooth M.2 Brown Box and it worked great the first time. The antenna leaves are a little large, but they do a good job of hiding the circuit boards needed for the antenna. This antenna supports both 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2.M.2, which is becoming more common on desktop motherboards, so I can see them becoming more popular in the future. before inserting the card into the slot. I had to fiddle around a bit and carefully snap them into place (I took seriously the reviews complaining about pinched bushings). Once snapped in place they hold up pretty well, just make sure you stake out the path that the Boundary Wires should run BEFORE you attach them. So my recommended assembly order is: (use pliers to tighten the nuts) - Route the antenna wires around things to eat up the appropriate length (I routed mine around the water block as the M.2 slot was pretty close to the back panel so I had a lot of cables to munch on) - Attach the cables to the card - Plug the card into the motherboard and screw in the M.2 screw - Now screw the external antennas to the connectors on the outside of the housing
