People complain again and again that the door gets stuck or breaks when opening. I'm glad I read your reviews before buying it because I knew what to expect when I got it and I was VERY CAREFUL. You have to treat it like cheap child safety locks on closet doors and stick your fingernail in the slot so you can slide the locking mechanism over the small handle. Yes it hurts BUT I have a solution so you never have to do it again the first time you open it. Use sandpaper or a nail file/sandboard to file down the locking mechanism so it looks less like a spike and more like a slight bulge. Be careful not to break it completely as you may want to keep the door closed. But it fit perfectly in my 5.25 bay and I didn't even mess with the screws. For those complaining that it's "too big" - SPIRIT! Of course, this is a "tight fit" that MUST be such that it creates a seal. So you need to make sure he enters DIRECTLY. If you accidentally insert it at even the slightest angle, it will get stuck. You have to put your hand in the case and hold it. You may even need to squeeze the sides of it. "tricky device" to overcome bumps in the hull. Don't be afraid to scratch it - it's metal, so you'll be fine. in fact, if your case is too narrow by a millimeter or a little, DO NOT put screws in before installing it as it will not fit. If for some stupid reason you need to install hard drives in this thing, then go for it. idk what can i tell you except. get creative. My hard drives are bottom mounted behind 3.75" bays why would I use them? There is a second piece of metal - presumably for solid state drives. I'm 99% sure I didn't place it that way as the manufacturer intended.I screwed my SSD in and then installed it on the jig and it works great. It also means I can easily take it out when I need it because I didn't screw it into the case. To be honest the only reason I bought this is because 3 out of 4 of my HD bay covers are missing. I don't have an optical drive so I glued a 120mm fan in this hole and replaced it with a torn stocking covered duct tape. Looked awful. This thing covers 2 bays and it has a fan plus a mesh cover. My case doesn't look like Frankenstein's monster anymore. I have one slot left but could e buy a blue bar for it.
