A good heater for turtles

So far it seems to be working. I like that it has a plastic cage to protect the glass from direct contact with turtles. I don't have any fish but I plan to plant plants here soon so I'll update this. At this point it took about an hour to heat 20-30 grams of water in a 75 liter tank from 72F to 78F. I wish it had at least one decimal place in it, but it works. As you can see I have another thermometer in the tank to measure accuracy. It reads about 1 degree less. I have a mercury thermos that reads 78 degrees. So on average it's about 77.7 degrees, which is great! I like that the controls are on the outside of the tank and seem to hold up well. It was supposed to come with 4 suction cups, I only have 3 and the real heater only has 2 slots so I assume the other 2 are spares. Very happy as this heater costs about twice as much as my regular heaters (which lasted about 8-11 months) hopefully in 16-24 months this will last at least twice as long. If it takes longer I will update it! For those concerned about what most people consider corrosion, it's not corrosion, it's the buildup of sand and other materials. The better your filter, the less deposits it will have. I recommend cleaning it once or twice a month depending on the filter and turtle type. If you keep it clean, it should last longer too. The only reason my last heater only lasted 11 months is because I moved and the glass broke during the move. If the glass hadn't been broken I think it would have lasted longer (it had no deposits) and so far those 11 months has been the longest heater I've had. So let's hope this one lasts 2 years! The longer it is connected, the greater the temperature difference. Now it's 2.4 degrees. Again, not bad for the turtle, but deadly for some plants and fish. I have mixed feelings now so I changed it from 5 stars to 4.
