They are stained with the tomatoes I processed but they peel fairly easily. I just hand wash them in soapy water. They must be turned inside out for better cleaning. I bought these about a year ago and have used them for tomatoes, apples, making ricotta cheese and more. Very, very durable! Actually there are 2 pieces in the package and the second one remained unused! They're a little smaller than I expected but they're represented well in the product details - I'm just not good at guessing sizes and didn't measure them before buying to see what size they would be. To say I would buy them again but I'm not sure they will ever wear out like I need them to!
