Review on Dometic 3309974.005B Secondary Rafter Arm Service Kit: Enhance Your RV Awning with This Quality Upgrade! by Jonathan Lamp

We were a bit concerned about this as we couldn't find any specific part numbers for our 8 year old Dometic manual awning. After a lot of research, comparing photos and watching videos on youtube, I ordered a pair of these hands. We didn't even really know if we needed 1 or 2 but we ordered a pair just in case. And after all my research, it seemed to me that these levers are a fairly common problem with this awning. Arrived quickly, well packaged, reasonable price. We had already replaced our sheared bottom bracket bracket and that's when we realized something was wrong with one of the arms. Watching YouTube videos was most helpful in figuring out how to install the new ones. Each side only lasted about 20 minutes and of course the 2nd was a bit quicker than the 1st! All in all a good choice and we don't have to worry about the awning breaking while travelling. I give the product itself 5 stars but was disappointed that there is so little information on how to find the right part for our particular canopy that the manufacturer is ashamed of it.
