Ideal for most types of calligraphy

I've been using these Strathmore notebooks since I started calligraphy in 2014. In general, I like notebooks, but they are not suitable for all types of calligraphy. I use them with markers, fountain pens, parallel pilot pens, and some nibs. What I don't use them for at all is calligraphy with sharp pens. They are too uneven with a sharp pencil. Spring sticks to all bumps. Strathmore makes seals for many other applications, but they do not appear to be made exclusively for polypropylene. Aside from that one "bug" I use them for everything else. Pen ink does not bleed onto the other side or the pen. If you use a marker you will hardly notice that it is not as smooth as, for example, carbon paper. The off-white color is a welcome change from bright white carbon paper and other calligraphy paper. By folding the paper in half I have created some wonderful greeting cards. The pages usually, but not always, peel off easily and evenly. The first few pages are badly torn, after that there are no problems. These notepads are a versatile calligraphy notepad, a fairly inexpensive notepad. They also advertise
