An OEM part that gets the job done first time. There are some changes to the parts originally used. The most notable change is that the steel ball force adjustment nut is no longer needed. This part (not included) can be reinstalled and Delta will provide the required key in the kit but will not do anything. The included plastic piece that holds the ball in place (itself held in place by the cap's metal nut) allows for effortless adjustment of the ball. Why the factory supplies the wrench is a mystery. The implications of this change are: 1) The kit is easier/faster to install and 2) Using a controller with a metal handle can pose a problem if the handle is too heavy to hold upright. The crystal control knob option is light enough not to be compromised.
