The hole in the bottom of my chair legs has an inside width of 1 1/4 inches that they should fit based on the detailed description provided. I've tried pushing them by hand, banging them in with a hammer, putting them on the floor and pushing a chair on top of them. and nothing worked. Too far. There are flanges on the sides of this product that look like they need to flex, but are too rigid to flex. My chair has a shallow hole about 1/4 inch deep. If the hole was deeper, maybe they could be hammered. I sent them back and will look for an alternative.
