Review on 🚲 Black Five Ten Freerider Mountain Bike Shoes by Brian Tompkins

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not worth the name 5.10

I have always bought 5.10 shoes (for climbing though) and they have never let me down - they have always been quality and fit perfectly. Now this one. bad: - Fits large: I usually wear 10.5 so ordered 10.5 but they feel like 11.5 - should have ordered 9.5 - Stiff at the fold line, to the point where it causes pain. Hard shoes are generally good for mountain biking, but shouldn't hurt. The front of the foot sits on top of the pedal (ghost), so the flex of the shoe when pedaling is one of the most important things for a cycling shoe, and it's not. The materials appear to be good, but the fit and design are a mockery of the 5.10. Surname.

Pros
  • todo bien
Cons
  • Shoes can be tight, making it difficult to put them on and take them off quickly, which can be uncomfortable, especially during pit stops.
