The original charging cable was sticking out of the speaker. This angled connector is flush with the speaker, which is exactly what I needed. The cable carries enough current to charge the speaker's battery while it's in use. I didn't need the angled connector on the other end blocking the adjacent port on my USB strip. However, if I pay attention to how I placed the plugs there, I can work around that. Overall very happy with this purchase.
