The spark tester can be used to test ignition coils, spark plugs, etc. Through the window you can visually see the strength and frequency of the spark. It can be used in older engines with spark plugs protruding from the engine. It can also be used on spark plugs that are located deep inside the engine. It's a bit more expensive compared to counterfeits, but cheaper brands have numerous complaints about soldering/crimping errors. The Lisle brand is known for its quality. Overall I would recommend.
