I bought this scrubber because the metal scrapers from the supermarket damaged (cut) my thin skin and nails. This scrubber is great. I think it will last forever and not harm my skin or nails. It says it can be used on cast iron cookware, but I use it on everything but nonstick cookware. For some you may still need to use an extra sponge (SOS/Brillo cloth) to remove everything if soaking doesn't help. This scraper can also be easily cleaned with soap and water as it won't retain leftover food and other debris in the sink.
