It turned out that the contact of the sensor plug with the thermometer was bad. I couldn't rely on the thermometer.
Less than a week later, the thermometer began to switch frequently between "Lo" and temperature readings. It turned out that the contact of the sensor plug with the thermometer was bad. I could not rely on the thermometer to show the temperature in time or to sound an alarm. I had no motivation to send it back and ask for a replacement and just threw it in the trash. Conclusion: poor quality, hands off.
