I recently bought these microfiber towels to use in place of paper towels which are so hard to come by these days. I washed them all (in cold water) before use. They came out of the dryer nice and soft. They're not very fat, but I like their weight. I've only used one of these once so far. There was grease on my gas range and microwave door. I tried rinsing the fabric with cold water to clean it. It worked! There was no fat left anywhere. It remains to be hoped that the return to the "rag" for cleaning the "old school" will continue to succeed.
