First I see other people saying they are longer than the bulb they took out. This is because they ordered the wrong size bulb. This type of arc lamp comes in at least 3 different sizes. Same diameter but different length. My car uses 3 different sizes and they all worked great and are much brighter than OEM bulbs (Osram) and brighter than other LEDs I have used. They're brighter but also a lot cooler than OEM or the latest LEDs I've had. This 42mm bulb is included in the front and rear domes and trunk lights of my Mercedes S420. The photos show the difference between the standard bulb and these. It's even bigger than in the photo. They are not polarized. This means you can point them in any positive or negative direction and they will work. This should be the case with ALL LED bulbs.
