Update: changed to 5 stars Well Dalstrong your customer service convinced me with a replacement the next day. This knife was razor sharp and represented the brand much better. + 1 star for customer service. + star for the quality of the replacement. Original: I've been using Dalstrong in my kitchen for 3 years and own several products from their line. In particular, I've bought a few in the last 6 months. I received an email from their VIP team informing me of the new launch and I went to Revain to review and purchase what appeared to be a great product. I received it on Friday and used it over the weekend. I was disappointed. Pros: Great design language, great grip. Cons: Not sharp enough out of the box. Pretty boring. quality control? As mentioned, I've bought a few products from the Dalstrong line and have found that after recent purchases I'm no longer getting "razor-sharp" out-of-the-box deals. In fact, over the course of several months, they arrived more and more dejected. I've always been able to save myself fairly quickly with a whetstone, but this made me question their quality control. Perhaps with their growing popularity and increased demand, quality control can slip away. Due to this latest disappointment I have to look elsewhere. Dalstrong, you make great knives but please make sure your product is sharp. First (and 14th) impressions count.
