It could be better. in Emergency Food

Augason Farms 30 Day Food Storage. When I reviewed this item before purchasing, I first noticed that most people gave good reviews. However, most people have never opened the bucket, which is pointless to check. As far as they know, they got a bucket of sand. 5 Stars! The first thing I noticed when I received my order was that both buckets I ordered were upside down in their shipping boxes. Maybe it's not that big of a deal, but it shows a lack of quality control. The buckets were in good condition, no physical or water damage to the delivery box. After opening the first bucket, the top item, the cheese powder, was broken and scattered inside the bucket. The second bucket was fine at the top, but about halfway through I realized the broccoli and cheese rice in the bag was broken. Grocery bags are very cheap. I would like to point out that although two of the bags were broken, the buckets are airtight and the food "should" go on. But one more note: the bucket says "under 20" but the best date for powdered cheese was April 26, 2027. Not 20 years old. There was no date on the broccoli cheese rice and other items. I give 3 stars for the following reasons. 1- When people buy food to keep, they are buying it to be ready and a damaged product is just unacceptable. 2- Food with an expiry date should be marked on the outside of the bucket. 3- The bucket was turned upside down in the packaging for delivery. I would buy this product again but knowing I will have to open the bucket make sure the product is not damaged. Also, don't forget to put the oxygen scavengers in the bucket when resealing.
