As a parent I love these things. My kids can paint wherever and whenever they want and the worst that will happen us a little bit of water on the floor. Plus I get a bit of a kick when visiting families freak out when their baby gets into the "black paint" and then are amazed when they realize it's just water. It is also useful for practicing asain letter charcter writing too. Just make sure to let it dry out before you put it away or it leaves a bit of a mark. They do wear out with time a bit, but for the price, we've got plenty of just out of them.
