Review on ⏳ Convenient and Portable 60-Minute Timer on a Rope by Amy Bell

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Lifespan = 2 months

Everything was good until it stopped. I used it almost every day. The call is loud and long; a full ten seconds and is set by turning the timer to 60 and then back to the desired time. It's very simple, with no retro appeal or anything, and more than you'd think for something to hang around your neck. It made me feel like I was wearing one of those timers you see on people in movies where they are associated with explosives (and need to be rescued or pulled out before time runs out). Instead, I removed the rope and attached the clip to the timer so I could easily clip it to the belt loop if I wanted to walk around with it. It has a large magnet on the back so it can be attached to the fridge. BUT. Unbeknownst to me, the magnet detached from the timer as it was stuck to the fridge door and the timer fell off, but oddly due to the metal clip it was caught by another magnet on the door (before hitting the floor). I drew a conclusion from all of this after seeing some odd evidence with hindsight. Then two days later the timer stopped working. So there were two problems: the magnet came loose (cheap workmanship) and the timer died after two months (REALLY cheap workmanship).

Pros
  • With magnet on the back
Cons
  • New competitors appeared
