Seems a little durable. It took about 20 minutes to install, partly because I couldn't compress it. It's a bit chilly here in Northern California at this time and it's early in the morning. Anyway, I've found that if you remove the rubber stopper, you can lift the side of the trunk you're working on much easier to achieve perfect alignment, and then just snap the rubber stopper back into place. There were no clamps in my kit, I reused the old clamp by simply squeezing it with pliers. My only downside is that it feels a little solid, I like the ease of opening the trunk, but when fully open it springs into place rather than stopping smoothly. . Maybe they need breaking in, or maybe I can just remove the rubber plugs altogether, either way it's better than my old frames. UPDATE: It was a little warmer today. It's also been a few days since the racks were installed. Now they open normally and don't bounce. I am changing my rating from 4 to 5!
