Review on Walker Exhaust Spring Bolt 35129 by Francisco Russell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for exhaust and emissions

Wish these listings had bolt specs. I bought other screws but they turned out to be the wrong diameter or thread. So I went with them because they are the same brand as my catalytic converter, even though Revain said they don't fit my car. So here is the script. I ordered a new flexible pipe and a new catalytic converter. Fitted the catalytic converter on arrival and everything was fine. However, I quickly found that the flex hose did not fit properly, despite eBay saying it was compatible with my car. The new spiral hose also came with the wrong diameter bolts. I called around town and finally found a flexible pipe at a local dealership for 40% more than I paid for the fake pipe, but I needed my car back so I paid. The new Plexiglas tube came with no screws, no springs, no seals. Just a pipe. Other seals, screws, etc. did not fit. Existing equipment was worn out or broken during dismantling and could not be used. I then called and was able to find the gasket in AutoZone in two hours because despite the many auto parts stores nearby, none had it, but none of them did. They had screws/springs. So I searched the internet and found many options but eBay and Revain kept saying they didn't fit my car. None of the listings had a bolt diameter that I could verify, so I took a chance and bought some bolts online. Luckily, Revain has pretty fast shipping, but that still means waiting until the next day. I tried the two screws I received and they didn't fit very well. I was very upset and thinking about some tweaks when this bolt kit arrived. Surprisingly they fit perfectly on my Walker catalytic converter on my 2012 Acura TSX and now I'm back on the road. They also came with springs and nuts, eliminating the need to search further.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
