Definitely a Chinese copy. You can see impurities in the metal and the flatness isn't perfect, but it will probably seal well. I suspect the flatness will vary by about 0.05mm (enough to see light through on a flat surface), but a shim can probably make up for this. The sump thickness is about 5mm, so contamination isn't really a problem. Overall you save about $200 over a Holley pan, so to me it's worth it. I wouldn't risk it for a higher end race engine, but for a moderate build I think it's worth it.
