Review on 🎨 Aleene's Paper Glaze: Enhance your Craft Projects! by Kristen Reid

Versus Mod Podge Multi Dimensional

Versus Mod Podge Multi Dimensional Glaze: I laminate paper stickers to metal cans with a glossy finish. I always apply a very thin layer (with a very soft brush) to allow the decal to expand. Then after the laminate has dried quickly I smooth the decal back down and apply a liberal coat of glaze with very slight wrinkles to work it through. thin coat. It also dries a lot slower which not only slowed my progress but also caused the paint to bleed a bit more than the Mod Podge. The longer the glaze stays wet, the more it spreads. On the plus side, since Aleene dries slower, it spreads more evenly (wait!) even when using a brush, which doesn't make much of a difference for the method. I use it but maybe for other projects. Because Aleene's formula is so thick, I ended up using a lot more product than when using Mod Podge to get the same effect. Going back to Mod Podge but...this product also delivers a clean laminate gloss that doesn't disappoint - just not as good as another brand for this particular application.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
