FISSMAN Knives: Style Over Substance

As a self-proclaimed "kitchen nerd," I couldn't wait to give FISSMAN's wares a try. But the poor performance of their knives was a huge letdown. Even if they were aesthetically beautiful, they were not sharp enough for regular usage. The knives were cheap and flimsy, despite the company's claims of high-quality craftsmanship. In reality, I discovered that the blades chipped and dulled easily, making them less than ideal for somebody who often uses knives. It's obvious that FISSMAN values aesthetics over practicality. Their wares may look nice in an aesthetic sense, but they are useless to anyone who actually enjoys cooking. Put that money toward a set of knives that will truly help you out in the kitchen.

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • Can run up the tab
