Review on Sennheiser PXC 480 Noise Canceling Headphones by Joe Whitman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great Headphones

Great Headphones. I switched from a Shure SE215 pair of headphones, which I thought were fantastic for a pair of headphones, but no one could see me in them, which became a problem when people tried to speak to me. I tossed between them, the PXC550 and both the Bose QC25 and QC35 before finally settling on them. I found they fit better than the Bose, being a bit tighter around my ears and head without causing any discomfort. The ear pads are definitely more comfortable for my size and shape of ears. They sound as crystal clear as the QC25s I borrowed from a colleague, but have deeper bass. Noise-cancellation is excellent, but Bose wins here. With Bose, the noise cancellation just worked. With them I have a slight increase in pressure on the eardrums, as if I were ascending to a height. It changes the comfort a bit, but I can still wear them all day without my head or ears getting uncomfortable.
