I just opened it up and set it up and then tried to connect it with the cable that came with it and it just didn't fit my laptop's HDMI port - very strange so I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, just to note that the cable that comes with the monitor is *not* and an HDMI cable. It looks like the monitor has an HDMI port, but the cable is a DisplayPort cable as far as I can tell. Seriously, when the monitor description says "Connection: HDMI" I was expecting an HDMI cable! Buy an HDMI cable now - might come and update my review if the monitor experience afterwards is pleasant enough to warrant an upgrade.
