Review on 🎢 Enhance Your Sound Quality with Behringer Microphono PP400 Ultra-Compact Phono Preamp in Silver by Rui Hanson

An absolute must have upgrade if you are looking to improve the sound quality of your turntable

I recently purchased an Audio Technica AT-LP60 turntable. It had a lot of issues, but the worst part was that it had horrible pulsing static when turning on the built-in preamp and there was no ground wire to reduce EMI (electromagnetic interference). I bought this post amp to try and fix a problem not knowing if it would actually help or not. Fortunately, this small, simple item has COMPLETELY eliminated the problem. The sound on the player went from statically stuffed and distorted to so clear it could be mistaken for a music CD if it weren't for the characteristic naturalness of the sound and the deep, smooth bass. The device has a ground connection, but I found I didn't even need it as the EMI was completely gone without a trace. There may be a very slight range limitation, but it's small enough that you'd have to have incredibly sensitive ears to notice it. The device also doesn't amplify as loudly as the built-in preamp, but my stereo receiver can compensate for this by turning up the volume slightly without any noticeable loss of clarity. It has no power button/switch. Block but it always feels cold so I don't see a fire hazard. When you move the device you will hear a strong bang, so turn off the receiver or at least turn it off before moving. All in all, this is an absolutely necessary purchase if your receiver doesn't have a line-in, or if you don't use one. You have no way of amplification (or if your built in amp in your turntable sucks like mine). Excellent.
