Am I missing something? It's not like I'm constantly installing 12 volt audio equipment. but I'm certainly not a beginner or newbie. I've never heard of a 9VDC requirement for remote turn on. Always had 5VDC. Are there any head units that emit a 9VDC signal? I can set it up to run on 12VDC with some kind of EXTRA switch or something. but why should i do that!? I don't see anything in the published specs that says 9V DC is required. The only place it's mentioned is at the bottom of the troubleshooting guide. See If the amplifier does not turn on. This is the second possible cause on the list. So far I'm very upset/disappointed with this purchase. I feel like I wasted my time on this. A good amp for the price. but this is not good if there are "special" non-standard requirements. It's the weekend so I can't call BOSS to see if there's work. I will probably have to send it back. I can't use it.
