I've had another pair of the same size on my truck in the last 5 years. They're just starting to get little rust spots. I think they can still be defeated, but they are harder to defeat than normal ones. You can use pullers on it (the outer rim spins freely) or just hammer a head on it (the gap isn't big enough). However, they can be defeated in two ways: 1. Hit them with a hammer. The whole hairpin will come off with it, but if you were a thief, would you take care of the owner? 2. Remove the remaining 4 bolts, then take the tire and pull it to the side. Again, the whole hairpin pops out. The larger the wheel/tire compared to the bolt offset, the more leverage the thief gets. There's nothing you can do about #1, but you can help prevent #2 by giving it a second set. Don't go crazy and put a different kit on each stud unless you plan on tipping your tire changer $20 every time you show up for a balance/reposition. Comes with a serial number sticker that you need to stick on the glove box. DO IT WHILE OPENING THE BOX. If you lost your serial number and need to order a key, you are SOL
