I bought Kateey brand 12 inch wheels in all sizes, they have been running for 7 years. I thought they were the same. Not even close! The base is 2 inches shorter in design so you can't lift the wheel to compensate for the giant rat's heavy walking. The side pieces lay flat on the wheel where the base fits into the holes. This flat piece can be bent by a rat trying to climb into one wheel while another is running. The wheel breaks into pieces and the connecting flat bends. My rats tear the bike apart every night. My first assessment of this wheel being rubbish is that it came with a packaging particle that was even attached to the wheel. The wheel was green and the base was blue. Couldn't get the details? I only use these wheels in aquariums where I have rat pups. Thry are lightweight and can play all over the wheel. This wheel will never be able to hold an adult chinchilla. Buy more expensive wheels.
