Bought to replace Nikon Aculon zoom binoculars which broke after 10 years of minimal use. We are avid hikers and want something light to carry. They are of course much lighter than the Nikon. They come in a very cheap carrying case, something Nikon didn't have. We've used them on three trips now and they work as expected. There was no way to test functionality in low light. If you are looking for a pair of lightweight, affordable binoculars with decent magnification, then this is the best option. At 16x magnification you need steady hands. They lose a star as they don't look as strong compared to Nikon at 16x. For the price I would say a solid 4 stars.
