Paired with a Saint caliper, this metal or organic pad brake disc will provide more than enough stopping power for downhill or whatever your riding. The rotor really bites in wet/dirty/dusty conditions. propose to adjust the driving style to adapt. They allow you to ride a lot more aggressively and save your ass if you fall off the line. 180mm or higher is too deadly in my opinion unless you are a pro or trials rider. I just don't see the point of adding more weight. Add more stopping power than what the 160mm offers. IMHO
