The springs are made differently than the factory springs for my 2005 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD. The upper bracket is in the wrong position when trying to reinstall the steering knuckles. The top 3 screws do not match the bottom mounting screw. I eventually found out that the upper strut mount has a two-piece plastic isolator over the rubber pad that allows the plastic part to pivot against the rubber mount that fits onto the top of the spring spool. You must align the top front top mounting bolt with the centerline of the bottom strut bolt or they will not screw back in. Very frustrating after spending time pushing them into new posts twice before realizing the top coil issue.
