Great Phone - Easy To Setup - Perfect Alternative to VTech/Panasonic/AT&T

So far, this has been an outstanding purchase. I'm tired of looking at the same old phones from the big 3 and wanted something different. The reviews made me nervous, as I read most of them AFTER making my purchase. Before I go any further, I'll give you a few facts:1. We live in the sticks and have satellite Internet service.2. We have 2 landline phones.3. I have our home wired with gigabit ethernet, using our satellite Internet service.4. We do not have Caller ID service, on the line I put the Motorola on. (Yet.)5. We have multiple working Alexa devices in our home.I completed the setup of the phone in about 10 minutes. I had no problem connecting it. I had no problem getting the handsets to register to the base, and I was able to use it as a regular cordless landline phone with answering machine without reading the instruction manual. It is no different than any other cordless phone in this regard. I gave the manual a quick read at this point, and continued by downloading the iPhone app, which led me step by step through the rest of the setup process without error. All of my contact were synced from my iPhone to the Motorola system without error. The base and both handsets needed a firmware update, which worked perfectly. Once finished, I tried the Alexa features and they work perfectly. The handset basically becomes an Alexa device like any other in your home, with a few exceptions. (I haven't tried playing music, but I've had Alexa read my notifications, the news, the weather, and a few other skills and they have all worked.) I have also completed calls by voice using the handset and Alexa. she found the correct contact and dialed that contact using the landline. The handsets themselves are sharp! Comfortable to hold, nice to look at, easy to read color screen, great sound quality. I only notice "lag" on the buttons when using the speakerphone, and it's speaker lag, not button lag. While I could suggest a couple of button layout changes, the menu and button layout is easy enough to understand and use.The iOS app is a joke. It does get you through the setup of the system. After that, you'll use it very little. It's ugly, and very light on features. VERY light. There is HUGE potential here, and it's a shame Motorola hasn't dedicated a small team of developers to the app to tap that potential. I hope that one day the app can notify me, in real time, of an incoming call on the landline. I might even give this product a 5 star review if the iOS app were stellar, and I save 5 stars for only the very best.
