Does the job but requires a lot of coordination

Fully justifies the (low) price and does the job. I am very familiar with beads and beads and this is definitely a great first purchase for anyone interested in small projects and/or starting out with beads. However: 1. Using a beading loom (especially one as small and light as this one) requires considerable manual dexterity. In summary, this will not be a great project for inexperienced teenagers. Set up is a bit tricky, as is using a small needle and beads. Although practice makes perfect, it can be very frustrating at first and the product is not very forgiving (i.e. it shows all imperfections). Young bead embroiderers can start with thicker threads (you can set up a loom for this) and larger beads (from other sources not included) and then move on to more complex projects. It is important to remember that all beads (even small beads) come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The final project will look better if you choose the size and quality of the beads before starting work (some of them are milled more evenly than others). Consider making a "sampler" (i.e. several rows of beads you will be using) to ensure they fit together well before starting a larger project.
