Very handy scales with attractive lines and high-quality materials. In addition to determining weight, it has a companion Bluetooth app that tracks and tracks additional measurements. We have an iPhone and are happy to report that data can be easily linked to Apple Health. Setup is very easy. Simply insert the included AAA batteries. Lay on a hard surface. Get on the scales. The scale turns on. The scale uses a new automatic "step" technology that does not require foot contact. You simply step on the scale and it calculates your body weight. The numbers are large and very clear, easy to read. White numbers on a black background provide excellent contrast. Download the app for more information. After activating the scale, connect it to your phone via Bluetooth. This is the normal process of searching for and selecting a Bluetooth device. After pairing them, open the app, set up your profile and allow permissions. Your phone can then aggregate the scale data, provide you with the data and also track trends. Data and trends include weight, BMI, % body fat, % body water, bone mass/density. A total of 14 data points are transmitted from the scale. These measurements are based on bioimpedance technology using 4 sensors in the scale (obviously four metal areas on the surface of the scale). If all you need is weight, this scale is more than capable. If you need more data so you can track and track trends/progress, this scale can provide that. The significant other wanted a good scale that she could use exclusively (translation: which I can't see or analyze). We have a multi-data scale in the bathroom that I use to weigh myself every morning and enter the value in Apple Health. I recently upgraded this scale to a similar Bluetooth model that automatically streams data to Apple Health. She seemed reluctant to use an application on such a scale.
