I liked that the price of the filter is cheaper than the Dyson original. Overall, I was not satisfied with the Stardust filter. I've been vacuuming the house with a Dyson filter that has been washed several times over the past 17 months. The vacuum tank has been emptied. Then I switched to the Stardust filter. I noticed that the Stardust filter was very tight and I had to press hard to attach the filter. I vacuumed again in several places and poured out the collected dust. Airflow from the exhaust seemed adequate. When I removed the filter, I was surprised to find that it was covered in dust after one use. Does this mean it filters better? Or is it a very tight fit? I do not know. The picture shows Stardust on the left and Dyson on the right. As for me, I'll keep looking for an alternative.
