Review on 🌬️ Nordic Pure 20x20x2 MERV 12 Pleated Air Filter by Chris Russell

See my review of the 20x25x1 filter. In fact, this company offers a completely inferior product compared to filters from 3M and Home Depot. I sent all of these filters back and replaced them with 3M brand filters. Overview of the filter 20x25x1. ATTENTION! This product is garbage. I tested this "MERV 12" filter with a laser particle counter. It removed only about 5% of particles 0.5 microns and larger. The particle count difference between the filter inlet and outlet was almost zero. This. it removed almost no particles. I thought there might be a leak so I sealed the filter all around to make sure there were no leaks and got the same results. virtually no drop in particle count between the inlet and outlet of the system. I replaced this filter with a MERV 11 (lower filtration than the Nordic filter) 3M filter and it removed 75% of the particles (0.5 microns or more), all other test parameters being the same. I repeated this test two years later to see if Nordic Pure continued to scam their customers and got the same results using a different type of test. A laser particle counter was also used in this test. See attached picture. The 3M filter offers significantly more airflow and 10 times better filtration. This means that Nordic uses very inferior materials to manufacture these filters. Savings on filters in this case will result in poorer filtration. I have tested Home Depot and 3M filters and got the expected results every time. This filter really disappointed me. I can't imagine why it has so many good reviews other than that most people don't have the means to objectively test a filter's effectiveness.
