I would classify this as a bedspread rather than a quilt as the stitching is a very simple diamond pattern on a printed patchwork fabric. It's also thinner than a regular blanket, but living in Florida makes it appealing. The images make you think it's red, white and blue, but the blue is definitely grey, which is good as the colors are easier to work with in a room. The fabric should be microfiber, but it feels more like a higher quality polyester because it doesn't feel as tacky as many microfibers. Measurements are for a double bed, but if your mattress is thicker than 14 inches, it won't fully cover the sides. This is exactly what my husband and I were looking for and I'm glad I found it. An inexpensive alternative to conventional blankets.
