Review on Phanteks Digital RGB Strip Combo PH NELEDKT_CMBO by Mark Sharma

I've been a huge fan of Phanteks RGB products for a while and this is probably my favorite product of the moment. The flexibility is really good and allows you to use the strip in many different ways compared to traditional LED strips. It's also quite bright and I haven't had any color issues yet like I've seen with their Halos products. Please note these are 5 volt strips compatible with 3 pins. They will NOT work with 12 volt, 4 pin products or connectors. I see this is often asked and it doesn't work. If your motherboard has a 4-pin connector, you won't be able to plug it in and there aren't any adapters to get it working. They only connect to motherboard 3-pin control connectors or Phanteks RGB digital enclosures/products. Other than that, these things are neat. You can snake them around different parts of your build. You apply glue to different types of reeds, place the reeds in the case and watch the magic happen! Note that when the tabs come loose, they don't stick very well. So I recommend laying the strip as accurately as possible and being very careful, especially with the tab at right angles. If you can keep them on they will last and this can give you decent lighting in your build. For example, I have one that snakes out from under my motherboard, up the back of the case before disappearing behind the top fans. . On another build I managed to roll it back behind the reservoir. It can be controlled either via software with a compatible mainboard (3 pins, 5 volts!) or via Phanteks RGB digital products. They won't work with Corsair or other products that use proprietary connections, so keep that in mind. Overall I'm impressed with them, except the glue isn't great. I also wonder what happens when I switch covers since you get so many adhesive strips.
