This is a decent low light camera. The sensitivity is primarily achieved through larger pixels and the omission of the IR filter, which means that the spectral sensitivity of modern sensors in the IR range is fully utilized. Here are the cons: The resolution is very low, and on a moonless night it's really problematic. It definitely doesn't compare to the 3rd generation night vision scope as seen in the video on the manufacturer's website. This is very misleading. This camera/tech is probably more comparable to the 2nd gen night vision but for the price it does a decent job. The ability to connect to a smartphone is very useful.
