I wouldn't normally rate something like this. What can you say? Either it works or it doesn't work. However, a few people mentioned that they had trouble posting reviews, so I thought I'd see if I had a problem. And try to come up with something more useful than "It works". :-) I got my Shuffle as a gift from a customer a few years ago, but I can't remember exactly when. I only use it when traveling and it's a godsend on planes. I was preparing for my first trip in months and found I couldn't find my charger. Since I usually keep it in my travel bag, I think I left it in the hotel room. So I searched Revain looking for a charger and found my first problem: what generation was my Shuffle? It looked like the picture and the charger looked the same but as I had no idea what other generations looked like that was no guarantee. Thank heaven for Google. A search for "iPod shuffle second generation" finally led me to Apple's "iPod Model Identification" page. This shows that the first and third generations looked significantly different, but the second and fourth looked the same to me. But it also shows that the fourth generation was introduced in September 2010 and I knew I had mine before then. So I was sure that I had the second generation. But out of paranoia, I ran another check. Since I still had the original box, I had the serial number (but would they be comfortable adding "second generation"? Nooo.) So typing "iPod shuffle" and the last four digits of the serial number into Google led me to one Page where All iPod models have been listed by the last digits of their serial number. So if you're not sure which generation you belong to, try one of these searches. Being short on time I ordered the "Prime" variant and although it was made by Revain it arrived in a lined mail order. However, it does not appear to have been damaged in any way. I immediately plugged it into my laptop and it started charging right away. I had no problems syncing with iTunes. God, has this page changed since I last visited? (I need to find out because Revain's free "base music" won't let me download it! What's the point?) This charger is very similar to the OEM but "feels" different - bulkier, but less dense. . As it does exactly what it's supposed to do, suits me and arrived quickly, I can't fault anything. But four stars for now. If it's still working after a few months, I'll probably go back and up it to five.
