Exactly what I was looking for. Our leather sofa has a USB port and a recliner function is included in the armrests next to the cushions. I couldn't just use the cord to charge my phone because it sticks straight out and the cushions flex it into a non-tilted position. The vertical design of the plug and the horizontal design of the socket made it perfect - the socket is always accessible and the pads do not damage the cable. They are strong but not too bulky.
