It performs well and its sleek design makes it a perfect match with the TV. I'm glad you can turn off the colorfully lit volume control, otherwise it can get annoying. What I don't like is that there's no other way to turn it off other than unplugging it. One review mentions that you can run on battery power when no power source is available, but that doesn't appear to be the case. The speaker must always be connected to a power source, and turning it off will turn it off. The instructions don't say anything about it being able to run on battery, so I'm not sure where that information came from.
