Much harder to carve than I expected
Before ordering this set I cut branches from a tree in my garden and carved them into what I wanted. I found the wood of the tree's branches to be quite hard, so I chose basswood, which should be much softer. Maybe my tools aren't sharp enough, but I've found this wood to be very difficult to cut. I would definitely not recommend this for kids who could slip and cut themselves. Maybe older beginners do better than me
