I bought several of these to make better use of the space in my pantry and paired them with M Design plastic storage bins that fit underneath without wasting space. The shelf is solid and is assembled with 4 screws and an Allen key. No washers or nuts are required as the screws are tightened in threaded sockets that are permanently integrated into the shelf. The shelf is sturdier than other products I've bought before and I have no problem loading large jars or 1 liter jugs onto it.
